Mr.
Vincent O'Brien is a highly experienced practitioner in the
Finance of International Trade and Documentary Credits. He has more than
20 years international trade banking experience and has delivered
technical assistance and training in more than 50 countries worldwide.

Mr. O'Brien is the examiner of The Finance of International Trade for
the Institute of International Trade of Ireland. He is a lead content
writer for DCPro, the Multimedia and Internet Based E-Learning &
Reference program in Documentary Credits of the International Chamber of
Commerce in Paris.
During April 2004, Mr. O’Brien won the awards of
‘Best Trade Finance Trainer’ on the occasion of the annual conference of
the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development
During May 2004, Mr. O’Brien received awards
from the Institute of Bankers in Pakistan and the International Chamber
of Commerce in for his contribution to International Trade Banking
during missions he undertook as a Documentary Credit Specialist for
UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development).
During November 2004, Mr. O’Brien was presented
with the award of ‘Best Trainer 2004’ by the Banking Training Centre of
Central Bank of Mongolia.
Mr. O’Brien writes the ‘Doc. Credit Clinic’
column for the International Payments Journal ‘LCM Letter of Credit
Monitor’ and he is a regular contributor to DCInsight, the official
journal of the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris, France.
Mr. O’Brien provides technical assistance as
Technical Advisor to China Systems, the largest trade finance systems
provider in the world.
Mr. O’Brien has been appointed as First Director
of the electronic Business School of Ireland which delivers the
E-Learning International Trade Specialist training program of the
Institute of International Trade of Ireland.
